This is my new fav spot for cheesesteak sandwiches!!!! I've been looking for a new spot since I moved to Long Beach and finally found John's. Well worth drive to seal beach for fresh soft bread, juicy steaks, onions , hot peppers and extra cheese HIT THE SPOT!!
I'm not a fan of the fat steak fries for chili cheese fries - but just my preference -

Been coming here since the first shop in Sunset Beach. I been to all his locations but mostly Seal Beach which is closer to me. All the locations have great and friendly staff. Food of coarse is excellent

After a day at the beach, a cheese steak from John's Philly Grille was a perfect way to end a final summer beach day. Cheese steak with cheese fries and a tastykake... Perfect! Will be back during football season. John's Philly Grille will be a part of the Eagles 2020 Super Bowl run.

I'm born and raised in Philly so I'm gonna critique the hell outta this place. Most places that advertise "Philly steaks" are generally not good and very far off from the actual Philly cheesesteak. But...When I went into this place I immediately saw that they were hollowing out the rolls, which, only someone from philly would teach people to do that. I then knew this place was legit. I kept it simple. Cheesesteak with fried onions. Just like back home. And it was delicious. Meat was chopped up just right. Cheese was perfect, not too much not too little. Even the roll was pretty damn close to Philly (considering we're in Cali). People were super chill and nice. Overall, I think I've finally found my go to cheesesteak spot. I highly recommend this place if you wanna try an actual Philly cheesesteak.
